WEBSTER, N.Y. (WIVB) - The tragedy that is impacting the Webster, New York community is hitting close to home for many local firefighters. Firefighters know the inherent dangers that come with the job, but the shootings in Webster have definitely left some rattled.

Early Christmas morning, Buffalo firefighters were called to a vacant house fire on Moselle Street. There wasn't anything unusual about this fire, but that's what firefighters thought when responding to the scene in Webster.

Firefighters say nothing can prepare you for something like that, especially when a fire still needs to be extinguished.

“We get different scenarios all the time, you never know what's going to get thrown at you and it just adds to the anxiety and the pressure of the job.” Tonawanda Firefighter Adam Sereno said, “You kind of don't think about it. You come to work and you do what you have to do. You do what you can based on what we're told as we're going out the door.”

Investigators still don't have a motive for Monday's deadly attack.
