BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Authorities are investigating what caused a fire overnight at a heating and plumbing business in Buffalo.
Fire crews were called to the East Delevan address around midnight. Firefighters say heavy smoke was pouring from the building when they arrived.
Although firefighters were able to douse the flames quickly, damage to the building was estimated at $50,000.
In addition to damage from the fire, the crews caused some damage to the building in order to get inside to fight the blaze.
Buffalo Fire Department Division Chief Don McFeely said, “Obviously [we] did a lot of damage to get in. That's the problem you have. First the entry really damages the building. Really tight, high security. You have to bring out the saws, once we got in, we were all set."
There were no injuries reported.
