AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Fire crews were called to a home in Eggerstville, early Christmas Eve morning. The flames sp arked at a home on Margaret Road around 2 a.m.
Everyone inside the home, including two young children, made it out safely . Damage is extensive, estimated at $120,000.
"It's always unfortunate when this happens during the holiday season," said Eggertsville Fire Chief John Buttino. "We're taking measures to help the family through the holidays and make sure they have lodging and shelter."
It is not yet known what caused the fire.
