BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A southern tier fraternity literally ran up a Christmas tree to Buffalo Saturday.

35 members of the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter at SUNY Fredonia used teams of 4 to relay the tree for the 46 mile journey.

The run raised one thousand dollars for Youth AIDS Awareness.

The group started at 6am Saturday morning and arrived at Lafayette Square in Buffalo around 1PM Saturday afternoon.

The fraternity also donated a Christmas tree to a Buffalo family in need.

This is the 11th year the group has held this fundraiser.
