EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A free electronics recycling event was held Saturday at the Nativity Lutheran Church in East Aurora.

The event was hosted by Sunnking Electronics Recycling, Time Warner Cable, and the East Aurora Rotary along with Senator Patrick M. Gallivan.

Today’s event was a great opportunity to easily drop off any used and old electronics such as cell phones, laptops, and much more.

The items dropped off will properly be recycled and disposed of. It's estimated that people who stopped by the event dropped off almost 100,000 pounds of used electronics.

For more information on this event, please visit http://gallivan.nysenate.gov or contact Senator Gallivan's office directly at (716) 656-8544.
