TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Just when people thought they couldn't afford a real tree for Christmas, they can now pick one up for free tomorrow on Christmas Eve in the Town of Tonawanda.
Donated trees will be available at the back parking lot of Philip Sheridan School at 3200 Elmwood Avenue.
Anyone can come by on Monday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.to find their perfect Christmas tree.
The giving tradition was started nearly a quarter century ago by Former County Legislator, Chuck Swanick.
