TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Nobody sat down and relaxed at a fundraiser Monday night in the Town of Tonawanda. They got a real workout.
Jindo Martial Arts on Eggert Road hosted a "Cages and Cocktails" benefit for the Black Dog Second Chance rescue organization. The no-kill organization works to saved abused and homeless dogs and guarantee their adoption.
Two dogs were brought to the fundraiser in the martial arts center. Jindo staffers led participants in a lively cage fitness workout session that focused on endurance, strength, power, and core. Participants paid $15 each to join the fun and enjoy non-alcoholic cocktails.
