Future accountants got prepped at UB

BUFFALO, N.Y, (WIVB) - Future accountants got a chance to practice their skills at UB Saturday.

IRS certified accounting students provided free tax preparation services to lower-income families on both campuses.

According to the IRS, tax preparation for families earning less than $50,000 can still run up to $300.

There will be more of these free tax prep days on a first-come first served basis at 100 Allen Hall, South Campus on the following days: Feb. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26.

Services will also take place in 106 Jacobs Management Center, North Campus on March 3, 4, and 31 and April 1, 7, 8, and 14.
