GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) - Erie County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit continues to look more into last night's incident involving a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Grand Island.
The incident happened on Friday around 8p.m. on Stony Point Road when Joshua Khreis,23, of Grand Island struck Stephen Turner, 62, also from Grand Island.
Turner was getting some belongings from his car parked along the southbound lane, where he was then struck after he stepped onto the lane.
He was treated at the scene and taken to ECMC by Mercy Flight where remains in serious condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
