BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Firefighters say someone making food started a fire in a house on Newton Street, in Buffalo, overnight.
It was a grease fire, and those most fast. Flames were as high as the ceiling in the kitchen, but were contained to the first floor.
No one was hurt, and Wednesday morning, the Red Cross is helping five adults and two children. Fire officials say there is about $5,000 worth of damage to the home.
