Group to meet about city violence

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A deadly double shooting is leading to action, two months later. It was back in December when Joshua Eatmon and Shameka Harris were both shot to death on Minnesota Avenue, in Buffalo.

Monday, members of the newly formed Safe Neighborhoods Committee will meet for the first time, to brainstorm ideas on how to curb city violence. It’s the brainchild of Erie County Legislature Chair Betty Jean Grant.

The group will meet once a month.
