BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Habitat for Humanity conducted a workshop on Saturday at its ReStore location on South Park Avenue in Buffalo.
The seminar on furniture makeover basics included tips on selecting the best piece and what materials people should use to freshen up something older with a new look.
Store Manager Even Quinn said, "What we're trying to do is move towards repurposing kinds of stuff. Instead of going out and buying brand new things, taking the things that you have if you're going to second-hand stores and all that - saving yourself time, and saving yourself money, and creating a masterpiece on your own out of something that somebody might have thought was garbage."
The free workshop continues for another 2 weeks at the ReStore location during March.
Proceeds from the sale of goods go directly to HFHB to build more houses for low income families in the Buffalo area.
