BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - UPDATE: The results are in, and a new cat token is replacing the iron. The results between the shoe, wheelbarrow and iron were neck and neck in the final hours of voting.

Through an online voting campaign, Hasbro is asking you which Monopoly game piece you want to see retired and which piece you want to see added to the classic edition of the game.
The current pieces are the racecar, thimble, the shoe, Scottie the dog, the battleship, the top hat, the iron, and the wheelbarrow.
This isn't the first time we have seen a change to the pieces. In the 1950s, the lantern, purse, and rocking horse were swapped out. There was also a cannon and a man on a horse, but those are now only seen in the deluxe edition of the game.
"We all have memories of sitting around the table of playing Monopoly with loved ones, I am willing to bet that many of those memories are tied to your favorite token," said Rick Marinaccio, western New York's own defending U.S. Monopoly champion.
His piece of choice is the thimble and he asking everyone to "Thumbs Up for the Thimble."
"No one fought over the thimble so I thought this was a way for me to select a token that I could really make my own so when I won I could always be associated with the thimble," Marinaccio explained.
The last championship took place in '09 and Marinaccio said he isn't finished competing and hopes to be able to defend his title using the thimble again.
The new pieces being voted on are a robot, ring, cat, helicopter, and a guitar. Facebook comments on the change were pretty split.
