Holiday Valley opens slopes & new lodge

ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - If you've been itching to hit the slopes, now you can. Holiday Valley had its opening day Saturday morning.
They tell us Wednesday drop in temperatures made for perfect snow-making weather. There are still a few bare spots on the hills, but four slopes and three lifts are open this weekend.
Visitors to Holiday Valley will have a new place to relax when they're not on the slopes.
The resort held the grand opening of the new $12 million, 66,000 square foot lodge today which will serve as the base lodge housing several food and drink options.
The lodge will also serve as a locker room, day care, conference center and will have two bars, a coffee shop, and much more.
Business hours for this weekend are: 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
