How healthy is the county you live in?

WISCONSIN - A national study conducted by the University of Wisconsin ranks the health of counties state by state putting Erie County at 56th in New York State.

The study by the university’s Popular Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation collects data from a variety of national and state data sources.

Erie County’s ranking at 56 was up one spot from last year compared to all 62 counties.  Livingston County came in as the healthiest county in the state and Bronx County was dead last.
