BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Temperatures are set to drop Monday night and a freeze warning is in effect for parts of Western New York.
Watch the video to learn about the warning from Don Paul. But what should you do to protect your plants?
According to GardeningKnowHow.com, you can help protect your plants during a light freeze by covering them with a sheet or blanket. That may be enough to help save them during a short cold snap.
If the temperatures are really set to plummet, put plastic over the sheet or blanket to help trap warmth. However, make sure you remove the plastic in the morning. Otherwise, condensation could form under the plastic and freeze over the following evening, damaging the plant.
Want to know what to do if the freeze is expected to last a few days? Read the rest of the article on GardeningKnowHow.com.
