HANOVER, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Hamburg man had to be rescued from the waters of Hanford Bay Sunday morning shortly after 9:30a.m.
When Chautauqua County Sheriff’s arrived to the scene, they observed 46-year-old Raymond A. Adamczyk in the water.
He was allegedly duck hunting in his kayak when it overturned approximately 500 yards from the shore.
A jet ski from the Sunset Bay Fire Department rescued Adamczyk and took him to shore. He was then taken to Lakeshore Hospital.
He was wearing a Coast Guard approved life vest at the time of the incident.
