LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) - In Lancaster, kids are becoming "Young Eagles."
The Experimental Aircraft Association hosted a young eagles flight rally at the Lancaster Airport Saturday.
The program teaches kids about aviation and takes them for a ride in an airplane.
More than a million children soared into the sky over the last two decades thanks to the EAA.
Coordinator for the Chapter 46, Paul Quenzler said, "We've had success stories. We have had kids who had their first flight as a young eagle. They're now astronauts and commercial pilots."
Each pilot volunteers his or her time to make the program free of charge.
