Lancaster ranks as most efficient

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Lancaster School District runs the most efficient school system in upstate New York, according to new rankings released by Business First. Three of the top five districts ranked in “Business First’s Administrative Efficiency Ratings” are in Erie County.

Sweet Home School District has the highest paid teachers in Western New York, according to Business First's annual ratings of teacher's pay, which was released Monday.

The rankings of 430 districts assesses spending per student, the ratio of pupils per administrative staffer and the share of the district budget devoted to debt service.
