BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Wednesday, Christians around the world will mark the beginning of the Lenten season by observing Ash Wednesday.

Services are scheduled throughout western New York, including a 12:05 p.m. mass being held at Saint Joseph Cathedral in Buffalo.
