BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A local businessman and Vietnam veteran received a long-overdue military honor today presented by Congressman Brian Higgins.
Michael Attardo was given his purple heart today. Attardo was injured by a landmine when his unit was ambushed in Vietnam.
He is the owner of "Get Dressed" and the founder of "Forever Elmwood."
Attardo credits his military service with teaching him how to serve.
