GETZVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Chapel at Crosspoint in Amherst announced a groundbreaking initiative to place every child in the Foster System with families and homes.

For those who want to welcome these children, requires them to receive special training.

Volunteer Coordinator, Steve Poissant says, "We've partnered with Gateway-Longview and they have been the social services division that has helped our families really go through the training and certification process to become Foster and adoptive families.

The program has been underway at the chapel since Father's Day.

Today marks, National Orphan Sunday.
