ALBANY, NY - The New York State Labor Department is cracking down on employers for among other things -violations of wages, overtime and record keeping.
34 companies across the state have been fined a total of more than a million dollars, including one firm in Tonawanda which owes nearly half a million dollars.

The Days Inn in Tonawanda which is formally known as Bhagwanji Kunvarji and Haven Hospitality were fined $442,681.86 for failing to pay minimum wages.
The owners of teh Stillwater Grill were also fined $38,859.84 for three violations- employment of minors, payment of wages and violating minimum wage laws.
