Lockport to address spike in crime

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) - Officials in Lockport are cracking down on crime. Lockport Mayor Michael Tucker announced Project Impact in January, saying, “We are drawing a line in the sand, here.”

There is a town hall meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, and all concerned citizens are invited to attend. They mayor is breaking the city up into impact zones and will address each one at a time.

Over the past few months, there’s been a spike in crime, from shootings to heightened drug activity.
