OLEN, NY (WIVB) - Police in Olean are investigating an apparent hit and run crash involving the death of a pedestrian.

Leisa Lentz, 53, of Olean was found lying in the street near South Union and Irving Streets around 7:10 p.m. Thursday.

She was transported to Olean General and died a short time after arrival.

According to the police report Paul Wood, 79, of Olean was arrested shortly after the accident and charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

It did not appear that alcohol was involved in the crash.
