RIDGEWAY, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Orleans County Sheriff's Office says the subject of a narcotics investigation, who managed to flee from investigators during December, was taken into custody Friday.
In December, authorities they approached Allen M. Young in a parking lot. They say he managed to avoid investigators, get in a vehicle, nearly strike two Major Felony Crime Task Force investigators with the vehicle and then flee the scene. Moments later, the vehicle crashed in the front year of a home on Marshall Road, and police learned Young fled into a large wooded area.
The Sheriff's Office says that this month, an anonymous source told them Young was back in the area, with a woman from West Seneca. Police say the source gave them details on his vehicle, that they passed on to New York State Police and Pennsylvania State Police.
Young was taken into custody Friday afternoon, when his vehicle was stopped on I-90 near Erie, Pennsylvania. He is being held in Erie County Jail, in Erie, Pennsylvania.
As a result of the narcotic investigation tied to Young's arrest, police say they seized over one pound of marijuana, more than one pound and a half of methylone, scale, packaging and other drug paraphernalia.
