MIDDLEBURY, N.Y. (WIVB) - No charges have been filed against a woman who rear-ended her husband as he drove his motorcycle on the highway.
State Police responded to the accident on October 25 on Bank Road in the Town of Middlebury. Troopers say 65-year-old Ronald Stanton of Bethany had stopped his motorcycle in the roadway to speak to a passing motorist.
His wife, 59-year-old Ellen, had been driving behind him and failed to observe that Ronald had come to a stop. Her car struck his motorcycle, and Ronald was ejected, suffering injuries to his head, shoulder and knee. Ellen suffered left hand and arm injuries.
Their injuries were not life threatening and troopers filed no charges as a result of the accident.
