TORONTO, ONT. (WIVB) - Las Vegas entertainment top brass from MGM Resorts International are trying to get a gaming toehold in Toronto.
MGM has hired a Toronto firm to do their lobbying. The resort's public affairs division confirms that the company is considering investing as much as $6 billion in a project that could include hotels, convention center and casino gaming.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. reported a few weeks ago that it is planning to build a casino in the Metro Toronto area while closing many less profitable slots locations. One of the slot operations to close is the slot operations at Fort Erie Racetrack.
