MONTREAL, QUE. (WIVB) - A minor earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale hit the area of western Quebec Tuesday morning.

A Canadian scientific organization, Natural Resources Canada, reported the quake struck at 4:05 a.m.

Canadian media report the epicenter was east of Buckingham, but residents in Montreal could feel it.

So far no damage reports but social media is buzzing about it.

Just one month ago a quake that registered 4.5 struck Quebec.  That quake reportedly shook the Champlain Bridge which reportedly was not designed to withstand significant seismic activity.
