HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) - Some much needed state money is now flowing into a historic part of the southtowns.

The State Parks office has awarded a $5,400 grant for surveys to help designate a part of the Village of Hamburg as a historic district.

Senator Charles Schumer says Main Street, between Buffalo and Lake Streets, should receive the designation to help pave the way for federal tax breaks to help preserve the shopping area.
