Police say the motorcyclist was traveling south on Dick Road, when a car made a left-hand turn in front of the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist is 31-year-old Dale Hinz from Cheektowaga, he was thrown off his bike when it struck the car. Police say he has serious head injuries despite the fact that he was wearing a helmet. The car was driven by 49-year-old Karen Penziul, from Lancaster.
Investigators were on the scene for more than three hours Saturday morning, taking measurements and reconstructing the scene.
Patrolman Scott Sharlau said, "The investigation is still on going, no charges have been filed as yet. (The victim) has been rushed to ECMC by Rural Metro and is listed in critical condition."
"We have some witnesses out there, we'd like them to call 686-3510, that's our front desk. They can let us know they witnessed the accident, and we can get information from them."
