BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Erie County Sheriff's Office is teaming up with the Food Bank to ensure bellies are full this holiday season. Wednesday, deputies announced plans for the annual "Mounted for Meals" campaign. They're hoping to collect almost 1,000 pounds of food and hundreds of dollars.
Erie County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Wayne Wolf said, “Hopefully get as many turkeys and hams and other food items as we can, and possibly as much money as we can as well. And then use that appropriately to purchase the needed items for the needy in our Western New York area."
To donate, just head to the Southgate Plaza on Saturday anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
