Spotlight to shine on Bills home game

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Erie County Sheriff is urging courtesy and common sense to make Thursday night's Bills game a safe one.

Bills Wide Receiver Donald Jones said, “You really play to get a bunch of short weeks, because you want to play on Monday nights, you want to do things like this.”

The Buffalo Bills locker room is buzzing. The focus of the National Football League will be on Buffalo Thursday night, when the Thursday Night Football game against divisional rivals the Miami Dolphins kicks off.

With the game sold out, parking lots will be packed with tailgaters. Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard knows the national spotlight could make it a busy night for deputies.

Howard said, “This being a nationally televised game, there will be some people who come there just to create a disturbance of act inappropriately.”

Everyone involved hopes this game will score big for Buffalo, both on and off the field.

Buffalo Bills Running Back C.J. Spiller said, “The main thing is trying to stay away from the negative plays, you know, not getting caught up into all this attention that we’re going to get this week being on national TV.”
