NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Niagara Falls Water Board is shutting down service at Buffalo Avenue and 53rd Street for five hours Thursday morning, and into the afternoon. The water board says water quality will not be adversely impacted during the shutdown.
The water service will be shut down as part of a reconstruction project and water line replacement. Areas impacted by the shutdown are East of Hyde Park Boulevard; North of Buffalo Avenue; South of College Avenue; and West of 10th Street.
Customers in the impacted areas may see low water pressure and discoloration. The water board is telling customers who see discoloration to run cold water from the lowest point in their residence or business for three minutes, or until it is clear.
