It may be close to 60 degrees but the temperature of Lake Erie is just 37 degrees but that didn't stop some people jumping into the frigid waters.
Dozens of people took part in the 12th Annual Polar Bear Swim in Silver Creek Sunday afternoon.
Swimmers generated pledges and jumped into the freezing water of Lake Erie. Pledges benefit the Variety Kids Telethon, the Silver Creek Fire & Rescue, Sunset Bay Volunteer Fire Department and the Silver Creek Food Pantry.
Non-swimming events included a chili cook-off and music.
