FREDONIA, NY (WIVB) - Western New York’s Olympic gold medal winner Jenn Suhr will be bringing the gold with her when she visits Fredonia on Saturday.
Suhr, who took the gold in the Lond Olympics pole vaulting contest, is settling into WNY life with her husband and coach, Rick, in the Orleans County town of Kendall.
The Batavia Daily News reports Suhr’s visit to Fredonia is set for 5 p.m. with a celebration planned at Barker Commons.
On Sept. 28, Suhr will take part in a pole vaulting demonstration at her alma mater, Roberts Wesleyan College. And on Sunday, Sept. 30 she will be taking part in the Buffalo Bills pre-game festivities at 10:30 a.m. at the Buffalo Bills Fieldhouse.
