Ontario markets to open wine boutiques

Ontario supermarkets will soon offer wine and beer in small express boutiques.

The LCBO will start off with 10 stores in a pilot project kicking off with a promotion for Ontario wines within liquor stores.

The Toronto Star reports that the locations for the wine and beer express stores have not been decided but they are likely to be in suburban and rural areas now under-serviced by liquor stores.

Wine and beer sales inside supermarkets is expect get underway within a year.
