BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Habitat for Humanity Buffalo held an informational meeting Saturday morning at the Organization's ReStore South, on South Park Avenue.

Those who attended the event learned about opportunities in ReStore's retail sales, clerical work, and construction of new homes in this area,  especially  for people who eventually will move into those homes.

Evan Quinn the Habitat for Humanity South ReStore Manager said, "You basically fill out an application with us, and then you go through a process of doing what we call sweat equity which is volunteer hours-participating on the building of your own house, and then once your house is complete, you receive it and you are given an interest free mortgage, that is set at an affordable rate at your family's income."

Anyone 16-years or older can volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
