NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Niagara Falls Police say they expect to file charges in a serious accident early Friday morning.
They say a car driven by 59-year-old Wenceslao Amboy, of Niagara Falls, hit two people just after midnight as they pushed a shopping cart carrying a couch along 56th Street, just south of Niagara Falls Boulevard. Police say the pedestrians were walking in the center of the northbound lane.
Investigators say first responders took 54-year-old Sheryl Park to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center with a serious head injury and broken bones, and 43-year-old Frank Nocera was taken to Mount Saint Mary Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A third pedestrian who was with them wasn't hit.
The crash is still under investigation.
