WNY connections to world's wealthiest

NEW YORK, NY (WIVB) - Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula made the Forbes magazine list of the richest people in the world at number 458.

The magazines lists Pegula’s fortune at $3 billion.  Former Sabres owner and founder of Paychex, Tom Golisano is also on the Forbes list, ranked 931, with a  net worth of $1.6 billion.

Topping the Forbes magazine list of the richest people in the world for the fourth year in a row is Mexico's Carlos Slim.  Warren Buffett dropped out of the top three for the first time since 2000 with his net worth estimated at $53.5 billion.
