CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A plane at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport was ruled unfit to fly Friday morning because of a “ding” in the leading edge of one of the wings.

In a pre-flight check Friday morning, it was discovered that an Air Tran plane had been damaged by a bird strike Thursday night, while it landed in Buffalo. No one knew the bird strike had happened when the plane was landing.

The crew deemed the plane unfit to fly and called for a new one to be brought in from Atlanta.
