BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A basketball tournament on Buffalo's lower west side is raising awareness of the effects of bullying.

The Black Intelligent Ladies Alliance is hosting a fundraising event at the Belle Center on Maryland Street.

Money raised from the tournament will go toward a scholarship fund in the name of Jamey Rodemeyer , the Williamsville teenager who took his own life last year after years of bullying.

Sunday's basketball tournament continues until 7pm Sunday night.
