ATTICA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 19-year-old Attica man is accused of a burglary on North View Park, after police agencies gathered to search for the man. The victim assisted police in locating the suspect in Attica on Tuesday, but they say they do not recommend victims confronting unknown subjects on their own.
Police say the victim was in her house, when she saw a man exiting her home. She grabbed the man, removing his jacket from him, and he took off. Police observed the female chasing the suspect across North Walnut Street around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday.
During an extensive search for the man, police found stolen items from the woman’s home in a wooded area. Several police agencies worked to gather evidence, and they were able to identify the suspect as 19-year-old Joshua M. Beck. Beck was arrested Wednesday.
Beck was arraigned in Wyoming County Jail on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. He is expected back in court in January.
