BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Erie County Sheriff's Strike Force arrested a Buffalo man Friday on a handful of marijuana charges after Deputies sniffed out his illegal activity at the Italian Festival.
35-year-old Railly Betances was arrested after Deputies manning a patrol post at Hertel and Crestwood Avenues noticed a strong smell of marijuana.
An investigation led authorities to a car parked behind them. According to Deputies, when the door of the car was opened "a cloud of smoke emanated from the vehicle."
Betances was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana for smoking in public view and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in the City of Buffalo Court at a later date.
