BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - They're sworn to serve and protect, but Thursday night, police traded their handcuffs and badges for menus and serving trays.
A dozen local Applebees restaurants held an event to raise money for Special Olympics New York and the Law Enforcement Torch Run. Officers donned servers' aprons and helped out the wait staff.
