BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The body of a 51-year-old Buffalo man was found in the snow behind his house on East Delavan Avenue. Police were called to the scene around 10 a.m. Monday.
The man’s body was found in the backyard of a home on East Delavan, at Daisy Place. Neighbors say the man’s girlfriend discovered the man’s body after she was not able to make contact with him on the phone.
Neighbors say the man’s dog was barking late Sunday night. The man had wounds in the area of his scalp, according to one investigator.
The incident may not be a homicide. News 4 has learned the man had health issues.
Neighbor Joe Mathews said, “He was a real nice person, never bothered nobody. You know, no people coming to his house, just his girlfriend. Real kept to himself.”
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
