WEST VALLEY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Winds are picking up Thursday morning, knocking power out around western New York.
Thousands of outages were reported in Cattaraugus County, early Thursday. There were also outages in in Chautauqua, Erie and Genesee Counties.
In addition to power outages, there is also a school closing in the southern tier. West Valley Central is closed Thursday.
