TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Erie County SPCA is asking you to be an “Angel to the Animals.”

Dogs like Layla, in the included photo, need your help. The pregnant dog was shot in the head and rescued this past Thanksgiving. She's much happier now, and is in better condition.

SPCA Executive Director Barbara Carr says an “Angels for Animals” radiothon will be going until 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and until 3 p.m. Saturday. To donate call 873-7722.
