BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - It is a simple program that will help first responders save lives on area roadways. Tuesday morning in Hamburg, Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard and Senior Services officials stressed the importance of the Yellow Dot Program.

Participants fill out a medical information card and place a yellow decal on the drivers side window. This helps first responders arriving on the scene of an accident to provide the best and fastest treatment to the victim.

The Yellow Dot program is a free service available to all drivers.
