Project to close main runway at BNIA

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A safety and improvement program will close the main runway at the Buffalo-Niagara Airport for several hours over the coming week.
The runway will be shutdown from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. starting Monday and continuing through Friday.
Officials with the N.F.T.A say these hours were selected to minimize impact because most flights occur before 9 or after 6.
